In Loving Memory
Lloyd Overholtzer
February 17, 1921 to July 21st, 2002
In loving memory of our Owner,  I would like to Honor an incredable Man named Lloyd Overholtzer. Thirty-Five years ago three investors, Lloyd being one, got together and decided to open Modesto Court Room.   Lloyd began building Modesto Court Room in 1976, completing in 1977 and opened it for business in April of 1977.  Lloyd became the sole owner of MCR by the year 2000. Lloyd enjoyed owning MCR and loved that people could come to MCR to play Racquetball and exercise to stay healthy and fit.
Lloyd was not only a businessman but also a man with a strong faith and vision. He was an honest, warm, generous, straightforward person who cared so much about others. He lead his life as an example to others which mirrored his strong love for the Lord. He had an incredible love for his family and was always there to lend advice, listen and love unconditionally. Lloyd enjoyed  his life and and loved to work hard.
Lloyd lived in Sonora however he visited MCR often. He loved coming to MCR to check up on things and see how all of his employees were doing. He always had a smile on his face and always knew what to say and how to encourage you to make your day a little better. He appreciated everyone and made sure you knew it. During his many visits, he loved to use the stream room and jacuzzi.
Lloyd passed away at this home suddenly in July of 2002 from a heart attack. Ironically, he was reading his Bible when he passed away. His sudden death was and will always leave a huge void in the family. For all that knew him, he taught us all about life, faith, love and forgiveness. He was truly a remarkable man that will live on in all who knew him. He is missed everyday……and will never be forgotten.
Thank you for being a great boss, friend and Grandfather.
